Built between 1936 and 1938, The Setai’s landmark Art Deco building on Collins Avenue began as the famed Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel. Minimalistic, modern, chic and captivating, the Art Deco Suites blend Asian influences with an air of serenity that pervades every corner of The Setai‘s Miami Beach setting. Located in the hotel‘s landmark Art Deco building, originally erected in the early 1930s, these suites feature breathtaking original Asian-inspired artwork and authentic artifacts. Each and every detail in our hotel rooms tell a story all their own.

Unlike the average Miami Beach hotel room, the awe-inspired design of our Studio Suites allow the space to unfold in a manner so intuitive, so richly welcoming that it‘s difficult to imagine staying anywhere else. The luxury hotel’s new spa experience offers specially formulated THÉMAÉ treatments and products curated from four types of teas: red (rooibos), white, green and black teas.
THÉMAÉ, a Paris-based cosmetics and spa brand, is inspired by the art of tea and named after the Japanese tea preparation ceremony. Its revitalizing spa rituals and exclusive skincare products are created with extracts from four different kinds of teas. The Complexe des 4 Thés® (4 Teas Elixir) blends antioxidant green tea, regenerating white tea, soothing rooibos or “red” tea, and stimulating black tea with pure spring water sourced in France to maintain purity.
The Spa features four private spa suites, all with room for up to two guests, ocean and pool views, a private bath and steam room. For an even more private experience, select spa treatments are available to enjoy in the comfort of your guest suite for a nominal fee, upon request.

Discover Jaya, The Setai‘s new Asian restaurant
We‘re proud to welcome you to our new modern Asian restaurant, Jaya, opening on December 11th.
Jaya, which means ‚victory‘ in Sanskrit, was chosen by our team to honor The Setai‘s renowned interior designer Jaya Ibrahim and the hotel‘s first decade of successful Asian-inspired hospitality. Executive Chef Mathias Gervais and Executive Sous Chef Vijayudu Veena have collaborated to create standout dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India, China and Japan.

Incorporating many traditional culinary techniques from wok stations to tandoori ovens, Jaya‘s menu features modern Asian cuisine with the bountiful flavors of turmeric, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, chilies, coconut milk and tamarind and will also present longtime Setai favorites including Peking Duck, naan breads, Indian curries, sea bass and dim sums.
Food is the key thread in the fabric of Asian life and how people socialize. As such, Jaya follows this tradition serving dishes in a style to be shared in an inviting atmosphere to make for a lively experience paired with the sophistication and hospitality you‘ve come to expect from The Setai, Miami Beach.

Menu highlights include: Egg Steam and Pork Bun Bao; Thali Platter (a traditional Indian dish filled with small pots of chicken, fish and okra); and Kimchi Fried Rice, to name a few.
